Usage

Open Tool
Open the Tools Menu (third button, bottom left) and select Jump Cut.

Prepare Sequence
Ensure your sequence is open and the playhead is located over an area with both sound and silence.

Preview
Click “Preview”. The timeline will highlight areas to keep in Blue and areas to remove in Red.
Parameters
- Silence Cutoff: The decibel level considered as silence.
- Remove Silence Over: Deletes silence exceeding a specific duration.
- Keep Segments Over: Preserves speech segments longer than a specific duration.
- Padding: Adds a margin (buffer) before and after cuts to smooth transitions.
Finalizing
- Click “Create Jump Cut” to execute the cuts.
- Click “Delete Disabled Clips” to remove the cut footage from the timeline.
